Man can never exercise dominion until he knows who and what he is and, knowing, brings forth that knowledge into the external by exercising it in divine order, which is mind, idea, and manifestation.

Charles Fillmore, Twelve Powers of Man

Jesus gave us the answer for how to put our lives in order: But strive (seek) first for the kingdom of God and It’s Harmony and Balance, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33 NRSV).  It is a simple set of instructions and it is so true! Have you noticed that the first thing we do when practicing each of the Twelve Powers is to go within to the silence - within to that still small voice?  When we seek God first all else falls into place.

We are always living in Divine Order.  It can be no other way.  However, we just aren’t always conscious of it.  This when we declare “Divine Order”.  “Divine Order” is a powerful affirmation, but the most important aspect of the declaration is that it makes us conscious of it.  When we declare “Divine Order,” we are really consciously focusing on God – seeking first His kingdom – all in the fraction of a moment.  Declare, “Divine Order” frequently, post it in strategic spots where you won’t invade someone else’s space, but where it will catch you eye during the day – on you dresser, on your calendar, or on your pillow.  Cut up some 3 X 5 cards green of course and write “Divine Order on them.  Then place them I a shirt pocket, a purse of your wallet.

As you begin to call on and release your miseend power of order to flow of Divine Order, everything in your world will begin to respond.  Some departments of your life will react more quickly than others, but if you will decree divine order, somehow it will work in every phase of your world.  More and more you will see harmony and order began to work quietly harmoniously, thoroughly.

Order works through emotional harmony.  Order that is achieved without harmonious, emotional agreement is not order.  It is conflict and leads not to order, but to confusion! The perfect homemaker who makes all the members of her family miserable with her orderliness is a good example of outer order that leads only to confusion and inharmony, because there is no inner harmony or emotional agreement connected with her wishes. (This type of outer order is more the ego attempt to control, rather than a function of order) Such supposedly orderly people often suffer from ill health and emotional problems of the worst kind, as well as contributing to the health problems of those about them because of their lack of understanding of what is truly orderly.

Supposed order that is accomplish through inharmony actually defeats in purpose completely since something is out of order emotionally and I the atmosphere. Outer order, which is accomplished at the price of unpleasantness, is not order at all.  It is stringent willfulness, which leads to illness and disease. One who does not act in accordance with divine order suffers mentally and physically. He fails to grow spiritually and the reaction of the life forces within him can destroy him as they become dammed up in mind and body with no outlet. Negative emotions also present the body from renewing and rebuilding itself.  What is the remedy for all this? Accentuate the positive by decreeing divine order! This eliminates the negative emotions from mind and body makes way for changes to take place.

Brain Washing, by Schuyler Cronley, from Notes by a Skylark

We hear a great deal these days about the process of “Brain Washing”. It is not a new process, for ages, mankind has used it to force to others to believe whatever the user of that force would have them believe. In fact, Christian people are “Brain Washed” materialists who have come to believe in Jesus Christ to be the Almighty Power and Force of Truth. The difference is that Jesus the Christ does it by love, and light and an evolving process. We are all being “Brain Washed” daily by the beliefs of our families, the newspaper, the TV, the false appearances of our world, but once again the difference is in what we are brain washed with – truth or falsehood. Which do we accept and open our heart to? Divine Will or…

Speaking of Stars

Someone, I believe it was Emerson, once said: “Hitch your wagon to a star.” The difficulty in this for most people comes in trying to decide which star. The Star of Bethlehem is always a good one to start with – then you won’t have to hitch and unhitch so many times.

Who Do You Think You Are?

Many people have asked this question of one another a great many times and received many varied answers. If you want a real “Stumper” answer to this question the next time someone asks it of you, you could say, “I am a son of God” – Of course, there is only one catch to that, and that is that you have to live and act like one to prove it.
