Many who watched this film consider it to be an all-time favorite, praising Harrison Ford's class act performance and the story's unexpected twists and turns. The film is heartwarming, telling a tale of redemption and love, and customers find it insightful, particularly noting its lessons about humility. As it begins Henry Turner is a wealthy successful Manhattan lawyer whose obsession with his work leaves him little time for his socialite wife, Sarah, and troubled preteen daughter, Rachel. One night he runs out of a convenience store and is shot when he interrupts a robbery. Henry survives, but can neither move nor talk, and he suffers retrograde amnesia. In a nursing facility, he slowly regains movement and speech but his recovery creates a financial burden for his family. Henry's firm allows him to return but his firm essentially assigns him only low-level work, he realizes he no longer wants to be a lawyer. What oh what will he do, and that is when the fun begins.
