Faith in the Christ’s Presence
I think it is very intriguing that two key words in the Christian belief systems are so very miss-understood! Due to that miss-understanding, their beliefs are locked into mortal mind consciousness, trapped by the physical illusions and therefore restricted by their teachings. Hum, what are those two key words; Faith and Christ.
Faith is perhaps the most powerful and therefore the most missunderstood, as a result of this missunderstanding most Christians who teach about the Bible, completely miss the Jewish people’s relationship with God, as this Divine Life Force that we live, move and have our being immersed within. Yes, a Divine Life Force in which we are immersed and where all of life comes forth from. When you read the Hebrew Scipture’s with this idea in mind, it changes the way you will see and relate to those scriptures. For me, the most startling of all the verses is Hebrew 11:1. “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things unseen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval. By Faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, the Creative Energy of Life, so what is seen was made from things that are not visible.”
Faith is not belief! It’s a deeper, inner knowing, that empowers us to look past the appearances of the physical world and the mortal mind and connects us with the Field of Living Energy, God, which surrounds and enfolds us. With all we have been taught in our religious upbringing, it becomes very difficult to look past this huge difference in the word “Faith.” Looking past our beliefs, and what we believe to be true and past what we see in the physical world, and into the Field of Living Energy that surrounds enfolds us, flows through and is us. How did Jesus develop the faith he demonstrated? Well, being raised in an Essene – Jewish community, which was largely nature based, it was probably a little easier! But he was taught to tap into this inner knowing, just to be still and listen to it, and then direct the wisdom this Life Force that is shared. He probably learned it, through step-by-step experiences one at a time, and his ability to understand what this Life Force was sharing with him grew. Today we may call this learning to listen to our intuition.
“Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things unseen.” Yes, faith is not belief, faith is a power within us that empowers us to look beyond our beliefs and what we were taught to believe, and into the Field of Living Energy, a Field of Infinite Possibilities. Faith is how we look beyond the happenings of our daily lives, and into the field of Infinite possibilities and then pick what we like to experience and allow this “inner knowing” to guide us. As you read stories about Jesus and the other ancient prophets you will see how Faith, this inner knowing, guided them.
The other word that has always bedoggled me, is the word “Christ.” It wasn’t Jesus last name, and it’s not a swear word. The word Christ is actually a Greek word that comes out of the Hermetica which is based on the ancient Gnostic teachings of Hermes. Christ means “The Field of Living Energy” that surrounds and enfolds us and stretches across the universe! The Christ Presence is always there. It surrounds and enfolds us and can guide us, but only if we choose to live in an awareness of It. But to do so we must learn to engage our power of Faith as shared before and be willing to listen with understanding to the guidance that may be shared. The first person in the Bible to have used the word Christ, was the Apostle Paul, who was raised in Greece and studied at the University of Tarus. Before his first mystical experience on the road to Damascus, he was a member of the Sanhedrin. And he shared with us these words, after his own awakening, “Sleeper, awake! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine in you.” So Have Faith and fun exploring the Christ’s Presence.
Namaste! I See the Light In You, RevDocPatrick
