I am grateful, so thankful. I am thankful, so grateful. Minister's Letter for November

Minister's Letter for Novemberbutter

I am grateful, so thankful. I am thankful, so grateful. Something wondrous is happening blessing me (and You) with light. I am in the flow of life.  It is intriguing. Last night after falling asleep, I was awakened by the sound of pouring rain. First time it has rained in several weeks. So, I got up and checked on my printer, which was printing the inside flyer very slowly, but all was fine.  Then something woke up me around 4 am! The printer, a wonderful but slow color printer had just finished printing the last page of the inside flyer. Wow! Success! And it was still pouring down rain. I thought I had turned my computer off at 4! But I guess I didn’t because the alarm clock on it went off at 6:15 (only used on special occasions like this weekend’s Healing Touch Workshops).  Then I got 4 phone calls around 8 am, I had been sound asleep, so didn’t get up.  It was still raining and when I went out to feed Rascal (my feral cat) there was about 2 inches of water in his water bowl, which had been dry!

Why do I tell you this crazy night time story? Because during this time there was this hymn we sing, going through my mind! “Something is occurring; something new is stirring; something of the Spirit blesses me today. Energies are swarming, totally transforming; something of the Spirit blesses me today... I have perfect leading to the good I’m needing; something of the Spirit blesses me with light…” This week is probably going to be one of the busiest weeks I have had in a very long time, and I have been a little concerned about whether or not I will be able to do all the things I need to do! And then things keep trying to be added on, like a special 2-hour faculty meeting with UWSI, a delivery of a piece of furniture I ordered that wasn’t supposed to be here till next month, and so on and so forth. Then there’s that special cataract surgery happening soon.  Yikes!

Now, I might add that these are all things I have been planning for and hoping for, but yikes not all in one week! Something is a stirring, something is occurring gloriously good, Wow!  We are very powerful creative spiritual beings and what we have to learn to do, is to first express our thanksgiving and gratitude about all those wondrous things that are, and are about to happen! Yes, even if they are out there, in the swirling winds of creativity creating tension and stress and worry withing us.  We need to pause, center ourselves and shift from whatever tension might be created, to the wonderful possibilities of what could be.  Energies are swarming totally transforming, something of the Spirit blesses me with light.

According to some New Thought scientific research, they have determined that the energy of thanksgiving and gratitude is the most powerful energy in the universe, well at least in the world!  Yes Dr. Emoto’s research with water, Heartmath’s research on the healing power of Heart Energy have shared mountains of research on this topic.  But then even more mainstream research centers have shared the same results on the power of prayer and developing an attitude of gratitude and holding a vision for all the things you are grateful for in your life! Even, if it is just the ability to breathe and feel and sense the wonder of life that is around.  What are the things both small and large that you are thankful for? Even things you might take for granted like a freshly baked meal or your chair to sit in. Take a moment each day to walk around your dwelling place and give thanks for everything in it! And if there are things that you don’t have gratitude for it is time to release them and let em go! Maybe someone else may be able to express gratitude for them. Even if it is sending them to the recycling center so Mother Earth may be able to find a new expression for that unique gift.

Energies are swarming, totally transforming; Spirit is blessing me today.  I am grateful, so thankful. I am thankful, so grateful something wondrous is blessing me (and You) with light, I am in the flow of life.

Seeing YOU immersed in the light and wonder of the Divine, RevDoc Patrick
