An enthusiastic first time teacher with high aspiration arrives at 
Woodrow Wilson High School— to teach freshman English for at-risk students at a once highly acclaimed school that has declined due to enforcement of integration. Erin struggles to form a connection with her students who are perceived to be lacking intelligence and observes many fights between her students. After a few weeks of tension, she has an inspiration. If she can stand amidst the swirling winds of chaos engaging spiritualized strength, she can guide the students to achievements they never dreamed possible. This is an inspirational movie that provides our nation a way of overcoming all obstacles we currently face. If only we have a few individuals willing to stand in the swirling winds of controversary while holding the highest good in mind.
