A Roofing Update and Idea of Possible Fundraiser

Some of you realized in reading last month’s front-page newsletter article, part of the roof on Heritage House was blown off during the wind storms in April.  Only one section of the roof was damaged and would cost about $1500 to replace; $500 would be covered by our insurance.  The roof is at least 22 years old, pretty remarkable for an Oklahoma roof, and as a grade one roof is past it’s 20-year life expectancy.  So, the whole roof needs to be replaced.  We have 5 bids.  For a grade 3 asphalt tile, with a 40-life span, the cost is between $5600 and $6200.  We also are considering getting metal roof, which has an extended life span and is hail resistant. The cost for a metal room would be between $9000 and $10,700.  Just keeping you up to date and laying the ground work for a possible fundraiser.  If you like to contribute to the new roof we would happily agree and see the wonders and abundance of the universe pouring out upon you!
