Forgive Me
Copyright (c) 2011 Chad K. Slagle
I've been wasting
Many years and many miles
And I've been tasting
Disappointments for quite awhile
And I've been cheating death
With a reckless Life
And I've been beaten down by worry and strife
And I have taken
What belonged to someone else
And I've mistaken
Success for what fails
I have wronged
A few folks along the way
And I have longed to find enough strength to pray
CHORUS:
I have lived a life in darkness
But your holy love, Lord has helped me to see
The beautiful light that I truly am
And that it's OK to Forgive Me
I have lost
Myself in the wine
And It has cost me
A friend of the truest kind
And I have walked
When I knew I should stay
And I have talked
When listening would have been the better way
CHORUS
Tag:
Yes I have learned to forgive others
So that I, can forgive me
