The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection.

Strength is a degree of spiritual awareness. It reaches beyond the physical into the realm of the impossible. Strength is like faith; it is the ability to endure beyond appearances into the miraculous. We are given many testimonies of strength. One story tells us of Samson and his great physical strength. We learned how his glory lay in his long hair, which is a metaphor for his spiritual awareness. Once he lost that awareness, he was powerless and was blinded by his enemies. Only by regaining his spiritual strength did his physical strength return.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience. It is by this experience that we learn and grow. This physical life is best realized by our spiritual growth. Only by accepting that we are spiritual beings can we overcome the physical limitations we place upon ourselves. We are greater than the sum of our parts.

Many know about the surgery that saved my life. You know how I wear a battery pack, which powers a pump for my heart. As much as I endured to have that operation, greater things lie ahead. I must rely upon a strength beyond my physical endurance. Because my heart has issues, it must be replaced. I have undergone testing to place me on the transplant list. As of this writing, I meet with the surgeon on Monday to go over the results of those tests and get his recommendation for transplant.

I will undergo a lifestyle change. Once I have the transplant I will need to wear a mask for the first three months following surgery to give my immune system time to catch up. Again, it will take spiritual strength, not only to endure the surgery but also to keep up the regimen and prevent rejection of the new organ. I believe that all is well. I know in my spirit that the new heart will be a perfect fit. It will change my life and give me a new chapter to fulfill. Aside from a few precautions, and a host of new medications, I will be stronger and more active than I've ever been. I look forward to it.

When you face challenging situations reach into that place where the Spirit dwells, realize the I Am of you at the point of God. In this connection you will find strength beyond measure. The location for strength is the small of your back. When you apply remedies the back feels better. You gain strength. By applying spiritual remedies, seeking communion with the Divine, asking for strength and accepting the strength God has to offer, all make you more capable of realizing your destiny. You are a spiritual being having a human experience. That all you are and do grows from the spiritual into the physical realm.

By finding your center, your Christ consciousness you find strength beyond measure. You connect with the Divine in ways that others may never fathom. It is the Christ in you, the I Am within you at the point of God, which does all things. Reflect on it. Meditate. Know that you are stronger than the sum of your parts. You are mighty and true. Go forth and be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.                                                      By Bryan Carlile

I am Strength. I am empowered to stand at the center of the swirling winds of creativity to see the new creation coming forth.
